Kariss and Jeff are engaged! We shot their engagement photos last month at Shaw Nature Reserve. Lo & behold, they told me as we arrived that this was where he proposed, too. Perfect! After a rain out, Shaw’s being closed, I think Kariss began to wonder if we ever were going to take her engagement photos. She was so patient and I think it paid off.
The day Jeff proposed, Kariss had not a clue that he was about to pop the question. They were to meet his family for dinner and got a call at the last minute from his parents “canceling.” Since they were already dressed, why not go out? Jeff took her to Shaw’s for a walk while Kariss complained the entire time. She didn’t want to go. She didn’t want to be there until he dropped to one knee. She panicked, thinking he was pulling a joke and got even more frustrated with him. He wasn’t joking this time and promised to care for & love her forever. She quickly changed her tune and said, YES! Her birthday was the very next day, making it that much sweeter.
Their wedding is in mid December and is sure to be beautiful – can’t wait to see you two walk down the aisle! And thanks for being so trusting. Kariss & Jeff are not big PDA people, but I pushed the first kiss shot and adore it. I don’t think Jeff minded too much having to do shot after shot until it was just right.
